Moving Pictures...
For those of you with XP and some digital photos on your PC take a look at Microsoft Photo Story 3 HERE.
This free(!) - and easy to use - software from Microsoft lets you 'stitch' together your selection of images by adding motion, effects and a soundtrack so that the finished product can be run like a movie on a PC. You can add titles, 'pans ' and 'zooms' to transform a set of static digital images into a video story.
You can also add your own narration if you have a recording device - lots of MP3 players have this facility.
Apart from XP you will need Windows Media Player 10 - may already be on a recent machine but another free download from HERE if not.
I first saw this at the Bett Exhibition on the BBC stand and I think it could be a very engaging resource in literacy classes, family learning and ESOL for starters.
It could also be a fun/informative way of presenting photo evidence of achievement and progress especially with a voice over as the images display.
Dont forget to feedback in a comment here if you use it.
