This Google Group is for ESOL tutors and managers. Again enter your email address into the box and click subscribe.

The group managers will be inviting staff to join their relevant groups over the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, perhaps you would like to think about email, groups such as these and blogs. All useful communication channnels - what do you think are their relative strengths and weaknesses? The best comment on this gets a prize!!

NEW!! Google group for SkillsPlus staff

Some new subject based Google Groups have been set up for KAES tutors and managers.

The one below is for staff working in Skills Plus centres. This can be a lot more convenient than email when you have something to say to a group of colleagues.

The groups are private to KAES staff so please apply to join by entering your email address below and clicking the subscribe button. Your application will be approved by the Group manager.

Testing 'Writely'

This is a document written using 'Writley', a web-based word processing tool with more besides. It allows collaboration on documents, revision control and instant 'send to blog'.

It auto saves so frequently (a feature that might save some wasted hours) that it enables two people to work on the same document virtually simultaneously. The spell check is simple but effective.
