Screen Shots R Us

There is a cool little programme I am using called 'Snippy' (!!)
I have the programme on the desktop and run it when needed - loads an icon into the tray.
It lets you draw around the precise bit of screen you want or put a neat rectangular box around it - saves cropping and useful if want a section of a website.
Just click the link (the title of this post) to try it out.

British Council - blogs in English language teaching

This is a useful looking site by the BBC/British Council. The link above takes you to a comprehensive section on using blogs in English language teaching but the information would be applicable to other subject areas.

Resource for Numeracy Tutors

This looks a useful resource for creating or modifying numeracy exercises for delivery online.

Once registered (free) a tutor can set up different workgroups for groups of learners (or an individual learner) with specific learning needs. Exercises can be reused as needed.

Be glad of any feedback on this.

Put Yourself on the Map!

Check out our Frappr!

Another fun Web 2.0 tool! Not quite so confident about its potential educational application - perhaps you can help me out on that?
Anyway, take a look and stake a claim to your part of Kent!
Just click the box and then the 'Add Yourself' button.

Get Safe Online

You may have heard about this new site which is sponsored by UK Government and several major corporations. Useful to have info and advice all in one place on this subject.
